Kate Elizabeth Laxton is a former athlete based in Sydney, Australia. She has English heritage and holds a British passport. Over the last six years, Kate has starred in Foxtel’s ‘Deadly Women’, the feature film ‘Ruben Guthrie’ directed by Brendan Cowell, numerous short films by acclaimed directors and a range of television commercials. Kate has a Diploma in Screen Acting and is mentored by Australian acting icon, Georgie Parker. Kate’s portrayal of the notorious occultist and bohemian artist Rosaleen Norton in ‘The Witch of Kings Cross’ has been the role of a lifetime for her.

Edward Gill is a cinematographer with solid experience in quality factual television and broadcast documentary. He has multiple credits on programs for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Nine Network Australia, Seven Network Australia, Ten Network and Foxtel. Edward has also filmed drama on several award-winning short films.
Edward enjoys listening to people’s stories and loves the artistic challenge of working with actors and lighting, so The Witch of Kings Cross gave him the best of both worlds. He is the co-founder of Black Jelly Films andThe Witch of Kings Cross is his first feature.
maya sheridan - Choreographer
Choreographer, multi-genre performance artist, and Studio 101 artistic director, Maya Sheridan-Martinez is the driving force of 101 Creative. Maya is trained in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary, but specialises in her passion for afro derived and niche dance styles. Maya has done extensive work with brands including Hyundai, Harley Davidson, Apple, Lexus, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Sony and worked with international recording artists Tina Arena and Jessica Mauboy.
